In April 2026, AGL Burkina Faso officially launched the AGL Moving Tour Burkina 2026 caravan in the country’s capital, Ouagadougou, during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Ms Annick Pikbougoum / Zingue Ouattara.

Building on the success of the AGL Moving Tour Morocco 2025, the Burkina caravan was led by expert teams from AGL and designed to engage students to highlight the growing demand for skilled talent within the transport and logistics sector.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Logistics and Transport Professionals

The AGL Moving Tour Burkina 2026 was organized in partnership with student transport and logistics clubs to forge closer links with industry, broaden student career horizons and provide coaching to 1,000 young people across Burkina Faso.

Over the course of 25 days, AGL Burkina's teams travelled between Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, visiting the country's leading universities, including Aube-Nouvelle, the African Institute of Management, the Higher Institute of Technology and Baba Coulibaly.

These exchanges encouraged students to explore career opportunities in logistics and transport, while gaining deeper insights into the trends shaping the sector. Discussions covered a range of topics, including corridor management, innovation, decarbonization, digitalization, intra-African connectivity and robotization.

AGL teams also provided practical skills workshops, covering CV preparation, job interview techniques and public speaking to help young people integrate into professional life. Internship opportunities within the AGL network were also offered at the end of the tour to help with career development.

AGL’s Commitment to Advancing Youth Employability Through Skills Development and Industry Engagement

AGL’s Moving Tour concept began in Morocco in 2025 during the Africa Cup of Nations. As the official logistics partner to the Confederation of African Football, AGL developed the travelling caravan as a way both to celebrate African football and deliver social impact that ranged from equipping a sport-study dormitory in Casablanca, to organizing an ‘Education through Sport Festival’ in Marrakech and renovating a basketball court in Tangier.

The Moving Tour’s debut in Morocco reflects a longer AGL tradition of partnering with institutions to provide training, foster innovation and help young professionals build careers in logistics. As demand for skilled talent across the sector continues to grow, the AGL Moving Tour Burkina 2026 advances that mission, connecting young adults directly with the resources to meet it – part of AGL’s resolute commitment to playing its part in Africa’s transformation, as Mohamed Diop, Deputy CEO Africa, emphasized during the caravan’s launch ceremony:

“At AGL, we are convinced that qualified and daring youth is a lever for accelerating the transformation process. Burkina Faso, by its position as a strategic crossroads, is full of immense potential. Through the AGL Moving Tour, we will surely learn from young people, some of whom will be our future collaborators; we are also committed to passing on our passion and know-how to them and to opening the doors of logistics for the development of Africa.”

Ms Annick Pikbougoum / Zingue Ouattara echoed these sentiments in her own statement while also recognizing the AGL Moving Tour’s alignment with national priorities. “The Government welcomes this citizens' initiative by AGL Burkina Faso. The employability and professional integration of our young people are absolute priorities. To see a company such as AGL get directly involved with students in their schools demonstrates that the private sector is an essential partner of the state in building the future of our nation.”
